The Novium Hoverpen Future Edition 2-In-1 Set is a perfectly acceptable writing implement. But admit it, if you are seeing this, that’s not why you’re reading. The silver base and mist blue pen are most attractive, however that’s not the reason either.

By education I am a scientist, but seeing the pen body suspended in the ether is something out of science fiction.

One negative, not enough to take off a star: the pen cap does not post. That is the cap does not fit on the rear of the pen for writing. The balance is still OK, but what does one then do with the cap? There is not much to keep the cap from rolling on the floor.

I recently purchased the HoverPen Future Edition Novium and wanted to share my thoughts on the product. While there are some positive aspects, there are a few areas that could use improvement.

Firstly, I noticed that the quality of the pedestal is not as high as I had hoped. It appears to be susceptible to scratches, which is disappointing. It would be great if the manufacturer could enhance the durability of the pedestal to better withstand regular use.

Secondly, I encountered an issue with the fountain pen ink cartridge. When attaching it to the designated position, I found that the head of the cartridge is not securely fixed. It tends to roll, I also experienced a similar problem with the converter. It would be beneficial if the manufacturer could address this issue and ensure that the cartridge and converter remain stable.

Lastly, attaching the pen to the pedestal was not a smooth process due to the magnetic mechanism. The magnetic force of the pedestal seemed to detect the pen inconsistently, causing some difficulties in sticking it securely. It would greatly enhance the user experience if the manufacturer could improve the magnetic mechanism for a more seamless attachment process.

In conclusion, the HoverPen Future Edition Novium has some notable drawbacks that should be addressed. Despite these issues, it still offers some positive features. However, I would recommend potential buyers to consider these factors before making a purchase decision.

THIS pen was expensive. If you just want something to write with, there are cheaper fountain pens. However, the pen is neat, different. I was looking for a desk pen.Amazon has all kinds of pens, fountain included, but next to no desk fountain pens. This one fills the bill.

What I like about the pen:
It’s neat, a fun thing to have on your desk and a conversation piece
It is smooth and has a really light touch when writing. Like writing with a feather

What I don’t like:
Cats think it is a play toy at night. I find it off its pedestal in the morning (I put it on the pedestal in the
evening)

The pedestal doesn’t enclose the pen; it still has a cover you must remove to use it

The pen fits in the holder upside down. This means of course, the top won’t become filled with spilled ink,
but it also means you have to turn it right side up and remove the cap before you can use it.

Instructions are inadequate; e.g., they did not tell or show me how to expose the nib so I could write.

Since the whole pedestal is a magnet (so the pen will hang freely, it grabs the pen and you have to pick up
the pedestal to separate pen from it. You have to use force to get past the edges of the holder and put
the pen in its suspended place.

Read independent reviews before buying to ensure you really want to spend the money on something that is a gadget as well as a good fountain pen.

I will keep the pen, but had I read reviews first I would not have spent the money on it.

I purchased these pens to sit on the command staff’s desk. The pen does not stay sitting upright and always fall to the side. It does not continue spinning when you spin the pen. The ink was very difficult to transfer, and my team has made a mess wasting over half the ink and destroying their Army uniform. The pen either needs to come with instructions or need to be vamped. I purchased the pen based off the description, however, my experience with the pen was not as described. For the amount of money, I paid for the item, it should have been of better quality. I need replaceable ink for ALL 5 of the pens I purchased. My team is not happy with this.

It’s a cool design the conversion options are great but if you don’t have it positioned on your desk just right the magnet pulls the pen to the ring when trying to retrieve it dragging the base when you pul the pen and you have to place the cap aside because you can’t store it on the magnet it isn’t conductive and it won’t fit on the back of the handle like other pen caps would

I love the look of the pen. I ordered ink and the cartridge works great. I mainly use the fountain pen so unsure how the other pen function works.

I was on Amazon and saw this amazing pen. It hovers in a slanted position. As I read more in depth on the hover pen I thought I needed this.

The pen did not last long, the nib clogged after only 1 week of use. At least the customer service allowed me to return it. Needless to say, I was thoroughly disappointed with this fountain pen.
