Fisher Space Pen Black Cherry Cerakote Cap-o-Matic – Gift Boxed

The Fisher Pen is the best one I’ve ever written with. It was definitely worth the cost.

Being able to carry a full size pen in such a small form factor is outstanding. It writes well, and it always writes. You won’t appreciate the pressurized cartridges until you need to write on something that isn’t fresh copy paper. It sounds like a gimmick, but it isn’t. I keep it in the fifth pocket on my jeans. The best pen is the one you actually have on you!

Fisher Space Pen’s aren’t the best daily driver pen in my opinion but they are reliable. These are a part of history and certainly not the worst. I also swapped mine out with a blue, broad refill which I like better than the stock ink. The cerakote coating also makes it look cool. If you want a cool, interesting pen this one fits that bill.

I replaced my ink with the ‘bold’ refill and I like how it writes better. that is just a personal thing. Other than that, here are a few impressions.

1. when you put the cap on the back it is a regular size pen and very comfortable. If you leave the cap off it is short and not comfortable. Don’t worry about the cap scratching the body, never had it leave even a mark.

2. This is small when it is folded up – so it is really easy to lose. They sell a clip you can add to it which helps but personally I just keep it in my pants pocket with my wallet. So far have not lost it yet. The finish on the body looks really tough so I think that I could carry it in my other pocket with my keys and it would not get scratched up.

3. makes a unique and cool gift. Works upside down so it is great for me for the checkout sheets at work that are mounted to the wall and I am writing with the pen facing up.

Gave as a gift but have one of my own. Writes in any situation, super convenient and refills available on Amazon.

The cerakote polymer coating makes it virtually indestructible. A perfect pen.

These are absolutely fantastic pens if you’re looking for something small to keep in your pocket with your keys and change. When in use with the cap on the other end it’s almost the size of a normal pen. Perfect combination so I now have a few of these in different colors. My only advice is to get the pen engraved with your name so people don’t “accidentally” walk off with it.
