Yes.. If its a good Fine nib Pen you are looking for this is the one. See Fig A , The script is Smooth after a days use , and works fine for a full day of inking out data, See Figure B. Few aspects may be improved upon , Sheaffer’s which is comparable in Price has a nice feature , the End of the pen sits inside the Cap with a satisfying Click , this prevents the Cap from coming out while I am using the pen , BTW I use the pen with the cap plugged in to the base of pen … a bit of weight.. balance issue, I feel comfortable in doing so since I hold the pen a bit away from nib perhaps … See Fig C. One more thing is that when I try to Clip it on my Pocket by sliding in … most pen cap Clips are designed to go in smooth this one has a notch factor which prevents that … which means no sliding in , … I have to Widen the clip and then put it in the pocket for safekeeping See Fig D.

I ordered this because I wanted a medium nib that would not cost me $100. I already have plenty of fine nib pens. This is not a medium nib pen.

As I wrote using this pen beside lines and swirls and sentences that my already fine nib pens were written on paper, and they were the same. The exact same size. I have a few medium nib sized pens that were costly. I made samples of swirls, sentences and lines. I then used this pen to write beside those ‘known’ medium nib swirls, lines, and sentences. This pen was noticeably making a fine line. It is a fine nib pen.
All that aside. It writes smoothly, which is to be desired in a fountain pen, very attractive, and I wrote with it uncapped so it wasn’t heavy. Thank you for listening.

I love fountain pens and so was very interested in what looked like a high quality pen for a good value. Often, that “too good to be true” combination leads to disappointment but not this time.

The pen made a great first impression with the packaging. It cam in a padded leather style stitched presentation box (picture attached.) While the pen came with an ink converter, it also came with six, ready to use, ink cartridges so it is possible to start using the pen right away even if one doesn’t have ink handy. The cartridges are international standard size so replacements are commonly available.

I have lot of ink so I used the ink converter (refillable cartridge.) A photo is attached. While some converters don’t seal well and are difficult to get to draw ink, this one worked great and I filled the cartridge with only one twist.

The pen (I have the red version) is a great color and has a nice shape, curving toward a slightly thicker middle (sort of like boat shaped conference tables.) The trim is gold and the nib is gold with fancy engraving that looks elegant. The cover latches with compression (no twisting) and has a positive click feel when it latches.

Now to the writing! I’m using a fine-point model. This is easy to identify because there is a scrip “F” or “M” in the middle of the nib. The pen write well immediately, the ink flow appears to be even and so far has not blobbed or otherwise misbehaved. I’d suggest leading toward the fine point if you are not sure what to buy. This is what I’d call a “fine leaning a little toward medium.” To me, it does the fine-point stuff but still would look fine for general applications. I’ve had some fine-point pens that seem to be skimpy with ink but this pen provides a nice even flow so the finer point doesn’t seem to limit how I’d use the pen.

I wasn’t familiar with the Beiluner brand before but I’m very pleased and will be keeping an eye out for other products. I’m just very pleased with this pen.

Got this pen in burgundy red color. Very rich looking and came in a nice box. Has 6 refills as well included. Nice writing instrument. Recommend as a gift or for personal use.

Update:
I realized the the medium size nib is very narrow. They nust have been shipped the wrong size as I compared to my other pen and ones on the photos, it does write very fine.

Further, forgot to add. Got the pen shipped with black ink refills instead of blue color ink. Should have checked this before ordering. 🙁

I had a friend who made his own fountain pens to give as gifts. They were beautiful works of art. His speciality was finding gorgeous woods and that was were his attention was: making pens that were appealing to the eye. What he never mastered, though, was the mechanics of the pen. Fountain pens are more complicated than they appear and after just a few uses, they would stop working.

This Beiluner instrument is not only striking in appearance, it actually writes smoothly. I admit that with nearly all of my writing on a computer keyboard these days, it tool some practice to get the feel and movement of writing, legibly, with a fountain pen. It is not the same as a ballpoint or gel pen. And the result is much more appealing. This is a writing instrument for signing legal documents, journals, and love letters (when emails are too crass). I can envision wiring a novel or autobiography with such an instrument — if I had the time and imagination. Sadly, the pen doesn’t endow its user with such gifts.
But receiving a letter written with a fine pen is an honor. Receiving the pen itself is a treasure.

The Beiluner fountain pen is attractively packaged in a box that looks like fine leather (it is not, though). It comes with six ink cartridges. I have the black and gold version, which is truly distinctive. Now I need to decide what masterpiece I will create that deserves the handiwork of this instrument.
